For all my web development work, I work in partnership with freelance website developers as this allows me to focus all my skills on the site design whilst allowing the coding experts to ensure your site is produced to the latest industry standards.

The upside of this for you as a client is that I am always able to offer you solutions from the forefront of the web development world. From simple static websites through to Content Management Systems (CMS) and highly complex e-commerce websites, I am able to help.

So what happens if I chose Jeff I hear you say? Good question.

Firstly I will need a chat to get a general overview of what you are looking for from your website and how you want it to take your business or services onwards and upwards....or downwards if your business is in coal mining but you get where I’m going with it. This can be done over the phone or over a coffee, whatever you prefer!

During this conversation you’ll be asked a variety of questions to help me understand the objectives and requirements of the website. Based on this conversation I would draw up a list of what I see as the requirements you would need for the site and send these over or meet up to discuss and get your input and feedback. Upon agreeing these requirements I can produce a full web proposal document and quotation.

By this point I will have an excellent understanding of your business needs, ethos and required persona which will put me not only in good stead for the design phase but also the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) elements as I’ll have a much better understanding of how people will be using our best friend, Mr Google, to look for the products or services you are offering.

The next stage is for me to jump into the concept development stage so that I can produce a mock-up homepage design which would be presented back to you for review and comments.

Once any alterations or additions have been made then the website really moves on at a good speed as I then have a basis on which to design the rest of your site.

Following the design phase completion I then pass the designs over to my freelancer web developer partner who possess the latest industry skills in web development to truly bring your site to life on the screen.

As if by magic those design images that you signed off will appear in a test environment for your review within a matter of weeks, often less. All that's left to do is tweak the code to make sure the site is optimised for those search engine robots. One more big group hug and while wiping a tear from our eye we send you back off into the big wide world......wide web.

We have existing branding, can you tie this into our website?

Absolutely yes. In fact it is quite often easier to design a website when this is the case as we already have the look and feel to work with.

Do you work with existing websites?

Indeed I do. Whether you have fallen out of love with your existing website provider or for whatever reason need me to maintain the website for you, then give me a call. From a full re-design to simply maintaining small changes from time to time I am able to help.

In the future will I be able to update the website myself?

Dependant on your budget and the likely frequency of the changes would determine what I advised. If you have a reasonable budget or the changes were likely to be frequent we would suggest having a Content Management System (CMS) written that would allow you to update the relevant sections of your site.

If however it is more likely that there would be just a few minor changes now and again we would probably advise not paying the extra for the CMS and just paying me to have small changes done on an ad-hoc basis.

Will my website be written in HTML5 and CSS3?

IIt depends. Myself and my web development partners are always aiming to create sites in the most up to date languages but dependant on your target audience it may not be suitable just yet. We would analyse this during the meeting in which I would extract information I need from you.

Will my website get to number 1 in Google?

Ah yes the Holy Grail. Unfortunately it is impossible to guarantee a number 1 slot in Google and if anyone says they can they are lying, end of story. That said, myself and my web development partners have become pretty good at it!

Can you provide web hosting for the website?

Most of the websites we develop are hosted on our own hosting platform. This makes life easier all-round as we get quick access to the code and you get quick response times when requesting changes. The simple answer to the question being yes.
